LeakBrief cookie policy
LeakBrief sets only technical cookies: the sign-in session and the anonymous scan cookie. It uses no analytics or advertising cookies, so it shows no banner.
Which cookies does LeakBrief set?
Only technical cookies that sign-in and anonymous scans need; none for analytics or advertising, so there is no consent banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
__Secure-better-auth.session_token | Keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, removed when you sign out. | 7 days |
__Secure-better-auth.session_data | A short-lived copy of your session, so pages load without asking the database every time. | 5 minutes |
__Secure-better-auth.state | Protects a sign-in with Google from forged requests. Set only while that sign-in is in progress. | 5 minutes |
lb_anon | Lets you claim the scans you started before signing in. Set only when you start a scan without an account. | 30 days |
Does LeakBrief store anything else in my browser?
Your theme choice, light or dark, is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.
Do other companies set cookies through LeakBrief?
No: LeakBrief loads no third-party scripts except Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs only when you use the scan or opt-out form.
How do I remove these cookies?
Sign out to end the session, or delete the cookies in your browser settings; LeakBrief keeps working, and you sign in again.
