LeakBrief terms of service
Draft terms of service for LeakBrief, a business-only prospecting tool for Shopify agencies: who may use it, how briefs may be used, plans and liability.
Version 2026-11-01
Who can use LeakBrief?
Businesses only: LeakBrief is offered to agencies and freelancers acting for their trade or profession, not to consumers.
What does LeakBrief provide?
Briefs about public Shopify storefronts: one finding with its evidence, an illustrative range, first-line drafts, a teaser link, a PDF and exports, as each plan allows.
How may I use briefs?
For your own business outreach, within the laws that apply to you and to the people you contact.
- You send your emails yourself; LeakBrief never sends email for you and never looks up email addresses.
- You check a finding before you use it, and you never present an illustrative range as a measurement.
- You do not use LeakBrief to harass, embarrass or mislead a store or its owner.
- When a store owner asks you to stop, you stop using the brief about their store.
How do plans and credits work?
A free account includes one unlock; paid plans add monthly unlocks that reset on the first of each month, Rome time, and do not roll over.
Scans that end without a finding, are blocked by the store or are not Shopify stores never use a credit.
Prices are in US dollars plus VAT and are charged through Stripe at the start of each monthly or annual period.
How do renewal and cancellation work?
A paid plan renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it in the Billing Portal, and it stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
When a renewal payment fails, the plan stays active for 7 days while Stripe retries the payment; after that, unlocks pause until the payment succeeds, and the plan ends if it never does.
The Founding offer is the Agency plan at a price locked for 24 months, for the first 30 accounts that never had a paid plan, one per account.
What is LeakBrief responsible for?
LeakBrief reports what public pages showed at scan time and does not promise any result, reply or revenue.
The limitation of liability is one of the clauses below that you approve separately before checkout.
Which clauses need separate approval?
Under Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code, the four clauses below are approved separately, with their own checkbox, before checkout.
- Automatic renewal: A subscription renews for the same period, a month or a year, until you cancel it; cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Limitation of liability: LeakBrief is liable at most for the fees you paid in the twelve months before a claim, except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
- Suspension: LeakBrief may pause unlocks while a payment is more than 7 days overdue, and may suspend an account that breaks the rules of use.
- Venue: The courts of the place where the operator has its registered seat in Italy have exclusive jurisdiction.
Which law applies?
Italian law, subject to the legal review of the final terms.
